I've heard about essay competitions run by various Oxbridge colleges (e.g. the Vellacott Prize at Peterhouse, Cambridge), and was simply wondering whether it would be worth entering one. Has anyone on here entered one? Would you say it was a good experience? Is it extremely difficult? I'm a Scottish Higher student, by the way (Highers are roughly equivalent to AS levels).
