The doctoral programs “Business Studies” and “Management and Economics” of the Graduate School of Business at the University of Zurich (GSB-UZH) are internationally oriented and aim to attract the best students from all over the world.

The guidelines govern the doctoral program Clinical Science, which is offered at the faculty of Medicine of the University of Zurich. They formalize the promotion regulation for the title Dr. sc. med. (equivalent to a PhD) from the Faculty of Medicine of the University of Zurich.

PhD in Economics curriculum. The GSEM PhD program in Economics usually lasts five years, of which two years are devoted to courses. In the first year, students are required to apply to attend the Swiss Program for Beginning Doctoral Students in Economics offered by the Gerzensee Center.In addition, elective courses comprising the equivalent of 12 ECTS can be chosen from a wide array of options.

The Barcelona GSE Economics Program is the main gateway for admission to the PhD program in Economics, Finance and Management from the Department of Economics and Business at Universitat Pompeu Fabra. The PhD program at UPF has an outstanding international reputation, with placements in the most prestigious institutions and universities world-wide.

Center for Doctoral Studies in Economics The Center for Doctoral Studies in Economics (CDSE) administers the PhD program at the Department of Economics of the University of Mannheim. The CDSE as part of the GESS was established through the Excellence Initiative of the German federal and state governments and by private donors, including generous support by the Fontana Foundation.

The Life Science Zurich Graduate School, for example, offers this kind of programme. There are 16 highly competitive doctoral programmes, run jointly by ETH Zurich and the University of Zurich. The aim is to attract the most promising young scientists from across the world by offering a comprehensive and challenging education for doctoral students in biosciences.

The Lucerne Graduate Academy for Law and Economics is an annual intensive one-week programme designed to introduce legal scholars and economists to the principles and current trends in the field of law and economics. The Graduate Academy will be conducted in collaboration with the Notre Dame Law School Research Program on Law and Market Behavior (ND LAMB).
