The University of Brighton is a creative and intellectually vibrant focus for a PhD in art and creative practices. The School of Art in Brighton has a long history of internationally-recognised work, has been a pioneer of practice-based and inter-disciplinary methods, and joins with other disciplinary areas to offer expert supervision.

We're particularly interested in publishing research students' perspectives on doctoral study at Brighton. Topics could include, for example, starting out as a PhD student, life as an international student, presenting at conference, mental health and wellbeing, time management tips, writing advice, surviving the viva, what you wish you’d known when you started, and so on.
